Joy's Story
Life
I have lived more or less in the Portland Metro area since 1960, with a few "times of exiles" when I lived by Air Force Bases with my first husband, and lived in LA with my second husband for 2 1/2 years... After my second divorce and being alone for almost ten years, I took the big step on 04/04/04, marrying Les Moser of Wichita Kansas, where I now live. I plan to relocate back to the lovely Pacific Northwest as soon as possible.
I'm the mother of 5, grandmother of 9 and loving every minute of it - with the new marriage I've inherited 3 wonderful children and 5 new grandchildren - gotta love it. Good thing I love children the way I do! In 2006, the greatest trajedy of my life occured, my 28 son, Robert (Robby) Pfeifer, was murdered while helping friends break up a bar fight at "The Woodshed". My 6'3" son was loved and now missed by so many.

d at Kaiser Permanente Administration and Northwest Permanente in Portland for 18 years when I left them on 04/02.
I love to travel and have been blessed with the opportunity to do a lot of it. With my husband's retirement, we have been spending our winters in Texas. Traveling in our travel trailer, we have managed to visit almost all continental United States. We've been to the Artic Circle, the Rio Grande, and the Canadian Atlantic Provences.
Workplace
I worked at Kaiser Permanente in Office Services as an "On Call Secretary" for 8 1/2 years and then was hired full time into Northwest Permanente Department of Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development. I offically started working for Northwest Permanente when I became NWP CME % PD Web Content Coordinator and was with them until I left NWP in the spring of 2004. Almost made my 20 year mark!
